As part of attending this FREE event\, you will receive a raffle ticket at the door which you want to hang on to for dear life for Project Interrupted 2 that will take place promptly at 2:30 pm and end at 3:30 pm. When your raffle ticket gets called\, you will have a chance to select from over 100 bottles of rare and allocated whiskies. For that privilege\, we ask that you donate $25 for each allocated bottle you purchase ( in case there are fewer people than bottles) and this donation will go directly to our local non-profit organizations ( volunteer fire department\, school and library) as we have done in previous years.

As rye bread is the national food in Finland\, these friends wondered why nobody was making Finnish rye whisky. Surprisingly\, the idea of starting their own distillery still seemed like a good idea the following morning\, and from there\, the journey of Kyrö began. \n\n\n\nToday Kyrö Distillery has grown from a wild dream in a sauna to a craft powerhouse with skill and capacity — and pretty good spirits\, always made from 100% Finnish rye. It all started with rye whisky in the sauna\, and Finish rye remains at the very core of Kyrö Distillery. Rye may be the hardest grain to distill due to its temperament\, but Kyrö still only uses Finnish wholegrain rye in its products — be it whisky\, gin\, or liqueur.Jouni Ritola is one of the five friends who founded Kyrö Distillery and its current CEO. Founded in 2013\, Kyrö has grown into a strong lifestyle brand in its home turf of Scandinavia and is getting increasingly popular in Central Europe and the USA. DESCRIPTION:Taste our amazing single cask from Kilchoman\, a 10 yr ex-bourbon that is to die for and get your bottled signed.  \n\n\n\nJames Wills\, son of Kilchoman Founder Anthony Wills has been involved in the distillery from its infancy and claims to have done every single job in the distillery since in establishment in 2005 – from polishing the stills when they first arrived to bottling the first malt by hand (with tea pot!)\, James knows the distillery’s every nook and cranny. \n\n\n\nHaving worked in the drinks industry in London for four years after university James returned fulltime to the family business in January 2020. He\, his father and brother now form the Kilchoman Sales and Marketing team with James concentrating particularly on the US market where Kilchoman has grown enormously in popularity since its first launch in 2010 and is quickly developing a cult status with Scotch whisky drinkers.

SUMMARY:Unicorn Whiskies Charity Event (Project Interrupted)
DESCRIPTION:Unicorn Whiskies Charity Event (Project Interrupted)\n\n\n\nThis is a fund raiser for our local charities that have not been able to benefit from our Annual Unicorn Whiskey Event that was interrupted and been postponed to Feb 18\, 2023\, pending some legal issues. \n\n\n\nIn this season of giving\, we would like to\, with your generosity\, be able to contribute to their cause.This is how it will work. On Dec 10th\, we will be hosting a whiskey tasting of some of our single barrel picks. All attendees will receive a free ticket when they check in. \n\n\n\nWe will be releasing at least 50 bottles of allocated whiskies to be sold at regular retail plus a $25 Project Interrupted fee (non-taxable) which will be collected and 100% donated to our local Volunteer Fire Dept and Canterbury Library. The Canterbury Schools will be the benefactor in our February event next year. \n\n\n\nBottles to be released will include MidWinter Night’s Dram\, Elijah Craig 18\, Larceny Barrel Proof\, Buffalo Trace Wheat\, Rye and Straight Rye\, Weller 107\, Weller 12\, Weller Single Barrel\, Blantons\, EH Taylor Small Batch\, Henry McKenna\, Stagg Jr\, ECBP\, Blood Oath Pact 8\, Elmer T\, Rock Hill Farms\, Heaven’s Door Bootleg\, Boss Hog 9\, Garrisons Cowboy\, Remus Gatsby\, Remus Repeal 6\, Blue Note 17\,Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend\, etcDue to local laws around open tasting bottles\, we can only have 4 open bottles at a tasting.
